Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Post- graduate qualification in geotechnical or dams engineering is highly regarded.
• A minimum 5 years’ relevant, applied experience.
• Experience in the dams consulting industry, with exposure to water or tailings dams, heap leach pads, or other mining waste dump projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to work effectively as an integral part of a team.
• Well- developed data interpretation and management skills, data analysis and data managements proficiency
Job Description
• Provide professional on and off-site geotechnical dams engineering support for domestic and international projects.
• Prepare and manage proposal and tender documents to a high standard, as required.
• Prepare technical reports and deliverables in a format and style that is professional, readily understood and satisfies the specific requirements of the project scope.
• Demonstrate an ability to plan, organise and take responsibility for geotechnical site investigations and assessments.
• Provide expertise, review and comment on complex civil and geotechnical aspects of dams and tailings projects, modelling, and reporting.
• Ensure specifications, designs and analysis meet project requirements.
